The Certificate in English will help you in improving your English grammar along with reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. This course provides non-English speaking students with a structured language learning opportunity to develop all the language skills necessary to communicate in an English-speaking environment.
Certificate in English is an approved course by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.

Our experienced and friendly student support staff can help you find accommodation and provide any required support. Our classes are small – maximum of 16 students. We check your progress regularly.
Certificate in English
- Student must be 14 years of age at the time of Application
- Suitable entry permit (Visa/immigration status) to study
Every Monday (except if public holidays falls on Monday)
Students can enrol for 4 to 48 weeks, depending on their level of English and their proficiency requirement.
The Certificate in English is developed to provide students with all the necessary language skills to communicate in an English-speaking environment. We offer various levels of this course in order to meet student’s needs. These levels are:
- Upper intermediate
During orientation, you will sit in our placement test which will help us to identify your English level. An assessment will be done and you will then be placed in the appropriate class according to your English level. Students are tested fortnightly to record their progress. Students will be moved to other levels on the basis of their progress report. Please note that all the above levels may not be available at one time but these are created according to the needs.
